ICO Advisor Outreach

Every ICO needs to have a healthy advisory board and attaining the right advisors can be costly on the front end and the back end, especially if you do not have connections to the most appropriate advisors. Please note, there are numerous advisors who represent 15, 20 or even 30 projects at one time. In RAMP’s opinion, this is neither constructive nor beneficial to any initial coin offering. We also frown upon the model of selling one’s image to an ICO or ITO for a fee. This brings no value to the project and is misleading to potential raise participants, RAMP instigates rigid controls on all advisors within its advisor pool to ensure they all work on deliverables.

What type of Advisor do you need for your ICO project?

Advisors in the ICO space fall into four distinct categories, they are as follows;

Crypto Advisors

Crypto advisors are crypto market or ecosystem participants who in general maintain a following and are regarded as thought leaders by the community. They bring a whole host of knowledge with regards to token models, crypto market sentiment and can usually draw on a host of experience from previous project advisory roles. In our opinion, the best advisors are those which have been part of a core team from a previous initial coin offering. This generally means, especially in the case of team book builders, that they have an extensive network of potential raise participants which range from funds and pools to whales and VC’s.

Sector Specific Advisors

They are so important, especially with the number of hackers out there who will try and penetrate your platform during and after the ICO. These people are the lowest of low and have no regards for the community and what we are trying to build. RAMP has access to some of the best security advisors in the industry.

Blockchain Advisors

There are no questions about it, you must have them, which protocol is it best to launch your product on? What are the drawbacks of using Ethereum or Hashgraph? Should you develop your own protocol? Blockchain advisors are few and far between. Your CTO may know blockchain but to have a leading figure from the sector will create a massive buzz among the community and could make your project a super star project.

Security Advisor

They are so important, especially with the number of hackers out there who will try and penetrate your platform during and after the ICO.
